Nick Francis

Mr. Nick Francis, age 32, is the Caribbean Regional Representative for the UK Conservative Party. Nick also serves as Secretary General of the Caribbean Democrat Union (CDU), a network of centre right political parties in the region. He is the immediate past president of the Young Democrats, the youth arm of the New Democratic Party in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and served in that capacity from 2009 to April 2017. Nick graduated from the University of the West Indies with a Bachelor’s Degree, First Class Honours, in Youth Development Work and is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Sustainable Development at the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies. Nick is passionate about youth participation in decision making and believes that youth are assets to national development and concentrates his efforts in the political environment to create a space for youth to thrive in the Caribbean region. Nick credits his success in life to a strong spiritual foundation, good parenting and the unconditional love of family and friends; the recipe for an effective support system.
